Ok, so I LOVE my hair...I have wanted to do something fun and spontaneous and just kind of out there; which is weird cuz it is not typically something i do...(i am finding i am wanting to be more spontaneous/do random things)...but, i originally wanted purple; i thought that would be awesome, be subtle but really fun and totally something people wouldn't expect from me. i have wanted this for some time, but a time i can pinpoint for sure is the first few days of January this year in stl.
i wanted it for me....BUT, since i have got my hair done, this past Saturday, i have noticed guys noticing me...i am a girl, and a very observant, i-notice-everything-sorta person so i know it is different then before; I DON'T LIKE IT! i mean, it IS flattering, but at the same time, very shallow and not something i want.
i started to think, and wonder....can my hair, even though my intention was/is pure, and FOR MYSELF possibly causing my brothers to stumble? guys from the rock have said it looks really cool, or they really like it, and i feel like it isn't appearing to be a huge stumbling block for men who love Jesus...but, is it 'ok' to keep allowing guys to say or do the things they do...in response to my hair? 1 Peter 3:3-4 came to mind...is that like 'braided hair' or is it different? i DON'T want my beauty to come from outward adornment...blah!
THEN, i got to thinking....is it just my hair? have i changed? am i still wanting to be pure? am i still guarding my heart?
REALITY CHECK. i have changed.
so, i need to go back to the "roots" of what i know of what i believe...of my convictions...i need to know why i stand where i stand on every single issue.
i need to spend some hard core time with Jesus.

Hm... Interesting thought. It don't know about you, but I think it's so hard to see when we are doing things for ourselves, or others, and when we are doing things for God. So hard to find the line between what is good and not, or more importantly, what is good and best....
